David and his pals secured their cuff links and straightened their ties with the classic Hollins House bar as the backdrop.

Beautiful Fall colors in bouquets and boutineers created by Carolina Vieria of Cuphea Designs in Berkeley California.

Emma chose to get ready at a large VRBO rental on the Pasatiempo Property. Plenty of space for friends and family to spread out and enjoy the morning together.

Emma had such an incredibly sweet idea, a “first look” with her parents.

This first look with David is priceless!

The flower kids were having a blast on the swing, and hamming it up for photos!

If you decide to do a first look like Emma and David did, you can schedule time for parents portraits and wedding party photos before the ceremony. After the ceremony you can accomplish additional family photo’s and it won’t cut into your cocktail hour too much. A first look is a great idea for couples who want to spend as much time at their reception as possible!

Additionally I love taking single portraits with the wedding party. Taking a moment to capture them together is super important. These portraits make great gifts or thank you’s as well.

With guests sequestered by the fountain at the entrance to Hollins House pre ceremony, we have so much space to take portraits with my favorite oak tree backdrop.

The wedding party heads inside for a quick drink and a comfortable place to relax. The guests are seated. Time for the ceremony!

These family portraits were taken before the ceremony. Friends are family too, so make sure to have your best friends arrive early to get a portrait with you.
