I am originally from Santa Cruz, and now reside in beautiful Monterey California. For the last 12 years I have had the pleasure of documenting unique family stories through photography.
I would describe myself as a “chill extrovert” I am not pushy or overbearing as a photographer. I have a sense of humor about the fact that having your photo taken by someone you just met can be kind of a weird thing, and on my side of the camera, taking a photo of a stranger (aka new friend) is a weird thing too. Once acknowledged we proceed together in mutual weirdness and neither of us will feel awkward!
I grew up in a family that traveled, but it wasn’t until the year 2020, when I was about to marry my soul mate (we met on bumble!) when life felt even more precious than it did before, and seeing the world needed to become a priority. Having to cancel our wedding because of the covid-19 pandemic meant we had enough money to buy a camper van, so that’s exactly what we did! Since then we eloped and traveled to over 15 US states in Falkor (the van) Having a partner that’s a teacher means summers off, so every June & July we travel internationally.
I am married to the most laid back & funniest person ever, which means I like to laugh, have fun and value the same in the wonderful couples and families I photograph.
In my free time I donate photography services to non profits with a focus on human rights, education and animal rescue. I am a vegan who happily cooks bacon for my husband, I love documentaries, being in nature, pickleball and camping.
